The C2 hatchback, launched in September 2003, stands out with its original styling and functions that combine appeal and performance.

A dynamic 3-door supermini with top-level equipment and modularity, the C2 is a treat to drive both in the city and out on the open road.

Strong on character
The C2 exudes vitality with its striking style and big personality. The front end, restyled in 2008, focuses on these attributes with more pronounced and muscular lines. The design of the new radiator grille – featuring the same redesigned chevrons as at the rear – continues the line of the ribbing on the bonnet giving the vehicle a powerful and distinguished air with a touch of elegance. Inside, the C2 gains a new dashboard to enhance cabin design. The C2 ships with two leather and leather/fabric trim options that also lend the interior an upmarket look.

Ingenious and practical
Styling aside, the C2 heralds an innovative concept in modular interior design and boot access. The rear independent sliding seats can be slid and toppled forward easily in order to adapt boot space as required.

High standards of onboard comfort make it a great car for everyday use. It boasts a generous array of equipment previously available on cars from superior segments, including cruise control and a speed limiter, a steering wheel adjustable for height and reach, and automatic headlamps and windscreen wipers.

A benchmark on safety
The C2 combines driving pleasure with high levels of protection. Safety features include ABS, emergency braking assistance, up to six front, side and curtain airbags, hazard warning lights activated automatically by strong braking, and ESP (on the 1.4i, 1.6i 16V and HDi 110 DPFS engines according to versions and markets). Furthermore, the C2’s results in EuroNCAP crash tests – 4 stars and 29 points – confirm the car’s qualities in terms of passenger protection.

The C2 is available with a complete range of six engines: four petrol units – the 61 bhp 1.1i, 75 bhp 1.4i, 110 bhp 1.6i 16V and 125 bhp 1.6i 16V – and two diesels, the HDi 70 and, depending on the market, the HDi 110 DPFS. Apart from the HDi 110 DPFS, 1.1i and 125 bhp 1.6i 16V, the engines can be mated to the SensoDrive automated manual gearbox.

The C2 is also available in a Stop & Start version that cuts fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. Available with the 90 bhp 1.4i 16V engine, the C2 Stop & Start is equipped with an electronically controlled reversible alternator and with the SensoDrive gearbox. This version reduces fuel consumption and emissions by 10% compared with a conventional, same-engine model.
