The Gallardo is a 2-door, 2-passenger luxury sports car, or convertible sports car, available in 3 trims, ranging from the Coupe to the Superleggera. Upon introduction, the Coupe is equipped with a standard 5.0-liter, V10, 520-horsepower engine that achieves 10-mpg in the city and 17-mpg on the highway. A 6-speed manual transmission with overdrive is standard, and a 6-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is optional. The Superleggera is equipped with a standard 5.0-liter, V10, 530-horsepower engine that achieves 11-mpg in the city and 17-mpg on the highway.
